Habatat Galleries is the oldest gallery to exhibit contemporary glass art. We opened Habatat in 1971 (Michigan) to showcase the traditional fine arts, as well as other new and exciting mediums including photography and glass. By 1980, we made the commitment to focus exclusively on glass. 35 years later, it is rewarding to see museum after museum incorporate glass into their collections and exhibition schedules and, to many, become a valued focus. Over the years, Habatat Galleries has been involved in curating over 60 museum exhibitions worldwide and has consistently published catalogues documenting the glass movement. Habatat has three locations and represents over 100 of the finest glass artists in the world. Habatat Galleries works with and advises private collectors, museums, corporations, art consultants, and architects in building major collections and site-specific installations. We also work with many people who might not consider themselves avid collectors, but who are looking for a few special pieces for their home or office. This website was designed as an online gallery, so feel free to browse through our entire inventory of glass art, request additional information or visuals, read Habatat's history in the contemporary glass movement, plus so much more. We encourage questions and interaction, so please do contact us any time. We're glad you found our website, whether on purpose or by accident, and hope you enjoy looking around. Inventory and information change on a regular basis, so check back as often as you'd like to stay current on changes and additions. Sincerest regards, Linda Boone, President Lindsey Scott, Director Habatat Galleries
